Madonna in the Moonlight is about Mother Nature; her presence, her strength, and the way she holds the land. I see her as that strong, caring energy that gives life, heals, and keeps everything in balance. She’s always there, even when we don’t notice her; in the moonlight, the wind, the rain, and the way the land breathes after a storm.
 
For me, this painting is about that deep feminine spirit that runs through Country. The moonlight reminds me of her watching over everything, whilst guiding and protecting our people, she’s something much older than us and something that’s always been here and always will be.
