Fractal Currents came from my love of turtles and my connection to the ocean. I’ve always felt drawn to the water, and it’s where I feel calm and grounded. When I started looking closer, even down to the cellular structure of turtle DNA, I could see these beautiful abstractions, like tiny maps or as if I was looking down on country.
 
It made me think about how everything’s connected and the way the ocean moves, the way we breathe, the way stories are told on country. This series is my way of showing that connection.
