We also host exhibitions and events annually to promote cultural sharing and learning through art. Yungarra Gallery operates in accordance with the Indigenous Arts Code to guarantee ethical dealings, transparency and accountability in the art market. The Wadandi People (Saltwater People) are the traditional custodians of this part of the South West of Western Australia. The significant coastal areas are essential to the Wadandi people and their connection to land and sea through songs, stories, spirituality and Cultural lore (learning and knowledge of tradition). This drawing of Tricia, created by Ross Potter, honours one of Western Australia’s most well-known elephants. The piece reflects the range of artists at Yungarra Gallery and acknowledges Tricia’s impact on the local community. To mark her legacy, we’ve partnered with the International Elephant Project to raise funds for wildlife conservation. Donations will go towards helping protect elephants and other animals in need.
